Nena Watkins, Licensed Acupuncturist
I have been a Licensed Acupuncturist since 2003, and I have been serving Oak Cliff since 2015. With over 20 years in practice, it is still a great pleasure to share the benefits of Chinese Medicine with the Oak Cliff Community of Dallas.
A native to Dallas, I received my Bachelor degree in chemistry from the University of Texas, Austin. Then I received my Masters degree in Acupuncture from Basyr University in Seattle, Washington. I enjoyed a practice there for many years before moving home to Dallas. Today, I offer acupuncture in the Bishop Arts neighborhood of Oak Cliff in Dallas Texas.
My education in chemistry led my interests away from pharmaceutical products and towards natural herbal medicine. I loved learning Chinese herbs as part of my training in Chinese medicine and I continued to study for years as an apprentice in an herbal dispensary to deepen my knowledge.
My apprenticeship training after Acupuncture school includes 2 years of Classical Five Element Tradition (2003-4), 4 years of Herbal Medicine with Dr Wu in Lynnwood, WA (2004-2008), and a year with Dr, PingPing in Carrollton, TX (2015).
At Oak Cliff Acupuncture Clinic I offer Chinese Medicine to balance each individual. This includes acupuncture, Chinese herbs, dietary advice, as well as meditation exercises and physical stretches specifically based on each person's specific symptoms.
