About Oak Cliff Acupuncture Clinic

Oak Cliff Acupuncture Clinic has been serving the Bishop Arts neighborhood of Dallas, Texas since 2015. We’re a licensed Chinese Medicine practice built on a simple belief: that people deserve real care, real answers, and real results — from a practitioner who takes the time to understand what’s actually going on.

About Nena Watkins, LAc

Nena Watkins has been practicing Chinese Medicine for over two decades — long enough to have seen fads come and go, and grounded enough to know why this medicine has endured for thousands of years.

She completed a rigorous four-year medical degree in Chinese Medicine and passed five national board exams before earning her license through the Texas Medical Board. That credential matters: it means every patient who walks through the door is being treated by someone with the full depth of training Chinese Medicine requires.

But credentials only tell part of the story. What Nena brings to every appointment is a dual foundation in both Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Classical Five Element tradition — two distinct lineages that together give her a broader view of how the body works and why it sometimes stops working as it should. She doesn’t treat conditions. She treats people. After twenty-plus years, that distinction still shapes every session she runs.

Oak Cliff Acupuncture has been her practice and this neighborhood’s clinic since 2015. She knows the stresses of Bishop Arts life, the summer heat, the community calendar. She treats her patients the same way she’d want to be treated — honestly, thoroughly, and without rushing you out the door.

About Oak Cliff Acupuncture Clinic

This is real, licensed Chinese Medicine. Acupuncture is a complete medical system that involves diagnosis, pattern recognition, and individualized treatment. Nena holds a four-year medical degree, has passed five national board exams, and is licensed through the Texas Medical Board. When you come here, you’re getting the real thing — not a technique borrowed from another field.

We treat you as an individual, not a recurring appointment. You have a health issue, and we want to help you resolve it. We’ll be honest with you about what acupuncture can do, how long it’s likely to take, and what to expect. Our goal is results you can actually feel — often within days to weeks — not an open-ended membership.

We’ve been here since 2015. A decade in the Bishop Arts neighborhood means deep roots and a long track record. Our patients know us, refer their families to us, and come back when something new comes up — not because they have to, but because it works.

We treat the full picture. Chinese Medicine looks at the whole person: sleep, stress, digestion, energy, mood, and pain are all connected. Whether you’re coming in for chronic pain, allergies, digestive issues, or something harder to name, we take the time to understand what’s actually going on — and then treat accordingly.
